Anyone in servitude cannot possibly claim to be happy or joyful. A servant tends not to be on negotiated wages. So, there is premise for one to think that the servants in the parable of the talents started on some sort of being discontented. While two of the servants took their status with fortitude, the third servant had a different view expressed in Matthews 25: 24-25 and therefore, action that did not yield good dividend became his choice.
